Today was the first lab of the new school year. Basically it was a meet and great.
We started out with an awards ceremony for the cadets that had participated in
Army schools this past summer. Such as Advance Camp and Airborne school. The
ceremony was followed up by a swearing in of the newly contracted MSIII's. HOOAH!
After that, we had a brief introduction and welcoming to the ROTC program by Maj.
Christensen, the Battalion Executive Officer (XO).
Next came the real fun. They lined everybody up outside and marched us back to the
Battalion Headquarters. Except, mother nature felt that we were too dry. About
halfway there it started to pour down rain. Once we all made it back, we started
to chow down on the hamburgers and hot dogs provided by the Cadre. After we got out
fill, the MSI's and MSII's went to the supply room. We all stood in line for a long
time while we were issued our gear for this semester. Then we were dismissed. Well,
